Census [electronic resource].
Census.ac.uk, home of the ESRC Census Programme, provides services to allow users in UK higher and further education institutions to access data from the 1971, 1981, 1991 and 2001 UK censuses.

Centre for Reviews and Dissemination [electronic resource].
CRD produces and promotes the use of research based knowledge in health and social care. It enables you to search the Database of Abstracts of Reviews of Effects (DARE), the NHS Economic Evaluation Database (NHS EED) and the Health Technology Assessments database (HTA). It does not contain Cochrane Reviews - for this use the Cochrane Library.

Hermes [electronic resource].
Database describing over 20,000 audio-visual programmes. Aimed at higher educational community, provided by the BUFVC. Covers films, video programmes, slides, sound recordings, computer courseware and interactive multimedia.

Index to Theses [electronic resource].
Covers from 1970 onwards. Information on theses accepted for higher degrees by the Universities of Great Britain and Ireland. Information given includes title, date, type of award, University and usually, an abstract.

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts (LISTA) [electronic resource].
Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts, (LISTA) indexes more than 600 periodicals, plus books, research reports and proceedings. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.

OVUM Knowledge Center [electronic resource].(Formerly Butler Group)
Europe's Leading IT Analyst Company providing Analysis without compromise. Includes access to valuable current
reports, and latest opinions.

Oxford Reference Online [electronic resource].
All major Oxford University Press reference works, including the Companions series, are searchable individually or across the whole database. Strong in the Humanities, Languages, Science and Medicine.

SCOPUS [electronic resource].
SCOPUS is a navigation tool covering the world's largest collection of abstracts, references and indexes of scientific, technical and medical (STM) literature. It provides access to 14,000 peer-reviewed titles from more than 4,000 international publishers, with links to full-text articles and other library resources.
Includes Compendex.

TRILT: The Television Index [electronic resource].
The BUFVC Television Index is a selective index to more than 12 years of television programmes broadcast on the five UK terrestrial channels.

Academic Onefile [electronic resource].
Academic OneFile is the premier source for peer-reviewed, full-text articles from the world's leading journals and reference sources. With extensive coverage of the physical sciences, technology, medicine, social sciences, the arts, theology, literature and other subjects, Academic OneFile is both authoritative and comprehensive. With millions of articles available in both PDF and HTML full-text with no restrictions, researchers are able to find accurate information quickly. Includes full-text coverage of the New York Times back to 1995. Updated daily.

Business Source Premier [electronic resource].
Via EBSCOhost databases. Provides full-text for approximately 2,300 scholarly business journals covering management, economics, finance, accounting, international business and marketing. Includes Dun & Bradstreet company information.

IngentaConnect [electronic resource].
IngentaConnect offers access to article summaries of over 2500 publications, along with the full text of over 4500 publications from 150 publishers (including: Academic Press, Arnold, Blackwell Science, Blackwell Publishers,Elsevier, Gordon and Breach, Harwood Academic, Portland Press, Professional Engineering Publishing and White Horse Press).

ISI Web of Knowledge (WOK), Arts and Humanities Citation Index, BIDS-ISI [electronic resource].
References,citations, selected abstracts. Includes Science Citation Index expanded, Social Science Index and Arts & Humanities Index from 1981 to the present. Covers over 9000 scholarly research journals and is updated weekly. Includes:
SOCIAL SCIENCE CITATION INDEX:
Reference and some abstracts to all aspects of scholarly research in the social sciences from 1981.

ProQuest Newspapers, Daily Telegraph, Financial Times, Guardian, Independent, Times [electronic resource].
Updated daily. Database of the Daily Mail & Mail on Sunday; Daily Telegraph & Sunday Telegraph; Evening Standard; Financial Times; Guardian & Observer; Times and Sunday Times; Independent. Coverage is from at least January 1998 onwards for all titles.

ScienceDirect (Science Direct) [electronic resource].
Database containing over 1000 full text journals from Elsevier Science and the leading scientific, technical and medical publishers. Covers life, physical, technical and social sciences.

TicTocs [electronic resource].
The ticTOCs Journal Tables of Contents is an alerting service, making it easy for academics, researchers, and students to keep up-to-date with newly published scholarly material.

ZETOC [electronic resource].
The database contains details of approximately 20,000 current journals and 16,000 conference proceedings published per year.
